Excellent advice, Keesha. I’m my child’s friend, as well. And I have her password. I’m also friends of a lot of her friends. I’m hoping they forget I’m their friend as they get older so I can continue to lurk and see what the kids are up to…

Just a tip out there for anyone who wants to listen. If you want to know what’s going on with your child’s facebook account – making sure they Don’t put Real info (i.e. location, phone number) on profile, or add strangers – Then just create a facebook account yourself and add your child as a friend. My friend was only allowed to have a facebook (or fb) if she added her parents as friends – who totally snoops through her facebook. She can’t stand it but understands their concerns.

No. Facebook is designed to be a place to keep up with friends. It does that by showing you what your friends have posted and showing them what you have posted. You can control what people see about you, but you can’t stop their items from coming to your wall if you are their friend.
